Rustic Italian Restaurant & Bar
Italic is an approachable Italian restaurant helmed by Chef Andrew Curren of ELM Restaurant Group (24 Diner, Easy Tiger Bake Shop & Beer Garden, Irene's) and centrally located in downtown Austin, Texas. Antipasti selections range from cured meats, Italian cheeses, olives and house-marinated produce to house-baked focaccia. Rustic pizzas and entrées such as roasted half chicken or Florence-style T-bone steak are made in our top-of-the-line American-built pizza oven. Farm-to-table selections include seasonally rotating pastas – perfect with a cocktail or selection from our 100-percent Italian wine list curated by ELM's Beverage Director, Master Sommelier Craig Collins. Gelatos and other sweet confections are crafted by Pastry Chef Mary Catherine Curren.
